David Neil Wallace

David Neil Wallace
1980-1989

David loved the game of ice hockey. According to his mom, Penny, that’s all he talked about; he lived, breathed and slept it. He played for Battle Creek Ford three years (before there was the Bruins), all as a Mite, before his life was tragically ended in an automobile accident when he was only eight years old. Through the generosity of Battle Creek Community Foundation and private donations, Penny helped to create a scholarship fund that would help families who might not be able to afford to play otherwise. She felt that David loved the game so much, every child that steps out on the ice with David's help will keep his memory alive.
